Cedar Bluff Town Council Adopts $1.7 Million Budget

During the regular meeting of the Cedar Bluff Town Council with the new administration, The Town Council approved a $1,746,313 Budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year. Mayor Bill Warren told those in attendance, it was a balanced budget.

The Council also approved annexations of Three Rivers Resort, Little River Marina, and a residence that is contiguous with the Town Limits in Paradise Point subdivision.

Planning Commission Member, Bill Holland, asked the Council to approve a public hearing before the December 8th meeting in order to present the Council with changes to the Zoning Ordinance.

A Resolution was approved dissolving the existing Planning Commission and the Council and Mayor appointed new members. Mayor Warren said this was necessary due to no records of when the current members were appointed or when their terms would expire.

The Council approved a Resolution approving the sale of K-9 Officer Dona to her handler, Police Officer Shane Butler for $50.

A resolution was passed extending the lease for the Big Chill for another 2 years in the amount of $300 Per month.

Mayor Warren announced the Town will have a Christmas Parade this year on November 22nd with line up at Russell Oil on Old Highway 9 at 5 pm with Parade rolling at 6.

The next meeting of the Cedar Bluff Town Council will be December 8th at 5 pm in the Council Chambers.
