Mrs. Linda Fay Dorsett, age 78, of Sand Rock, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Cherokee Health and Rehab. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose kindness and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, November 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Perry Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Perry Funeral Home, with Rev. Randall Hamm and Rev. Darrell Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Rock Cemetery.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, James Dorsett; sons Phil (Angla) Battles, Stan (Brandi) Battles, and Andy (Gina) Battles; daughters April Green and Denise (Max) Cope; special daughter-in-law Vickie Battles; grandchildren Megan (Rod) Watkins, Coley Battles, Jada (Blade) Romans, Karli Battles, Kaden Battles, Emily (Jared) Wiford, Lindsey Whorton, and Dustin Whorton; and great-grandchildren Ellery Watkins and Nico Watkins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Lumsden, Steve Lumsden, Tony Brown, Jeff Brown, Adam Battles, Blade Romans, and Rod Watkins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Battles; brother, Charles Brown; and parents, Mayo and Jean Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Linda’s honor to Sand Rock Methodist Church. The family also wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Southern Care-New Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care.
