Cherokee County Arrest Files for Wednesday, October 29

In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Rodney Newton, age 52 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on charges of the violation of a protection order and 3rd degree criminal trespass.

Bethany Evans, age 40 of Gaylesville, was arrested by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Trenton Glover, age 32 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Centre Police Department for failure to appear on three previous charges.

Kimberly Funderburk, age 62 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.

Eric Gibson, age 52 of Collinsville, was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department on a charge of driving under the influence.

Brittany Selman, age 29 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.

Melissa Thornton, age 49 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of domestic violence harassment.

Vicki Sumlin, age 63 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Damien Ramsey, age 21 of Gadsden, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 104 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
