Shop Building Fire Reported in Leesburg

The fire was reported at 9:46 am at 240 Lokey Street in Leesburg.  When firefighters arrived on the scene, it was reported that flames were coming from the side of the structure. Strong gusty winds were causing extra problems in bringing the blaze under control.

It took about an hour for a knock down to be reported. Firefighters were on the scene for about 2 hours.

Leesburg, Centre, and Sand Rock fire departments were initially dispatched. A short time later, Leesburg asked that Tucker’s Chapel be dispatched with their tanker truck.

There was no report on the amount of damage to the building.
