HOOVER – The Spring Garden Lady Panthers fell short in of a Class 1A state volleyball championship three-peat on Wednesday.

They fell to Meek on Wednesday in the Class 1A North Volleyball Super Regional at the Finley Center in Hoover. The scores were 16-25, 18-25, 23-25.

Aubrey Kelley and Hollis Jane Petty both delivered four kills for the Lady Panthers. Kelley also had a pair of blocks and Petty posted a block. Montana Highfield and Addie Word both managed three kills. Word also contributed a block. Lacie Jo McMurray and Gracie Simpson both delivered an ace. Kylie Bates had a kill. Lleyton Carroll finished with 13 assists, two kills.

Spring Garden’s season ends at 14-20.
