Two people were injured in a 3 vehicle accident in Centre Friday afternoon. The collision occurred at 12:34 pm on the Chesnut By Pass at the intersection of the Sand Valley Road.
One person was transported to an Emergency Room for treatment.
The west bound lanes for the ByPass were shut down for an extended period while the injured were treated and the wrecked vehicles were removed.
One vehicle struck a power pole and Cherokee Electric Crews were on the scene to repair damages.
Centre Police, Centre Fire, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee County EMA, and Atrium Floyd EMS responded.
