Gadsden State Gears Up for Family-Friendly October Festivities 

 

Gadsden, Ala. –Gadsden State Community College is inviting the community to a series of free, family-friendly events throughout October, including the popular Candy with the Cardinals.

 

The main event takes place Oct. 21 from 3 to 6 p.m. on the Wallace Drive Campus Quad, featuring games, crafts, face painting, candy, and live music from the Gadsden State Show Band. Attendees can also meet student-athletes and explore college programs with on-site enrollment specialists.

 

“This event is perfect for families and community members who want to enjoy a variety of games, arts and entertainment in a safe and festive environment,” said Lynn Patterson, director of Student Activities.

 

Additional events include:

  • Oct. 17, 3–7 p.m. – Candy with the Cardinals at the Ayers Campus (Cheaha Career Center lawn) with games, prizes, candy, and face painting.
  • Oct. 24, 4:30–6:30 p.m. – Trunk or Treat at the Cherokee Campus (Academic Building parking lot), featuring games, candy, face painting, and photos with Gadsden State mascot “Swoop.”

 

All events are free and open to the public.
