In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Andrew Kirkland, age 23 of Baileyton, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Justin Smart, age 39 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Rodney Newton, age 52 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on charges of 1st degree criminal trespass and the violation of a protection order.

Jessica Shaw, age 46 of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

William Towles, age 24 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 97 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
