BLOUNTSVILLE – Rollie Pinto caught a pair of touchdown passes, ran for another, and had an 80-yard kickoff return for a score to lead Class 3A, No. 2 Piedmont to a 51-0 Region 6 football win at J.B. Pennington on Friday.

Pinto caught five passes for 121 yards and two scores from 32 and 55 yards. He also had three carries for 37 yards and a 19-yard touchdown for the Bulldogs (7-0, 5-0).

Quarterback Cole Austin connected on 9-of-13 pass attempts for 211 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 47 yards and a pair of scores on six carries.

Aliandre Wright added a 49-yard touchdown run. Jaxson Howard ran for 66 yards on six carries and a 2-point conversion. Bentley Chandler had an interception on defense.

The Bulldogs built a 37-0 lead at halftime.

After three straight weeks on the road, Piedmont returns home next Friday to host Weaver.
