Pleasant Valley’s Vick, Salster too much for Cedar Bluff

CEDAR BLUFF – Pleasant Valley’s Kayden Vick ran for 123 yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown. Braxton Salster added 40 yards on seven totes with two scores, and completed 8-of-14 pass attempts for 91 yards with a touchdown to lead the Raiders past Cedar Bluff 34-6 in Class 2A, Region 7 football action on Friday.

Pleasant Valley (6-1, 2-1) built a 27-0 advantage at halftime and led 34-0 after three quarters.

Jeremiah Miller scored the Tigers’ lone touchdown on a 3-yard in the fourth quarter. The 2-point attempt was no good.

Miller led Cedar Bluff with 145 yards on 22 carries with a score. He also made eight tackles on defense, including two for loss with a pair of sacks.

Sam Payne posted nine tackles, with one for loss and a sack with a pass breakup for the Tigers.

Cedar Bluff (2-5, 1-3) hosts Pisgah on Friday. Pleasant Valley is at Gaston.
