Residents of Cherokee County will experience increased traffic during the next few days with several annual activities coinciding. The U.S. 411 Yard Sale is Thursday through Sunday (be prepared of sudden stops), The annual Centre Fall Festival is Saturday from 7 until 1, The Great Alabama 650 Paddle Race starts Saturday at the causeway boat ramp between Centre and Cedar Bluff and Anglers Unlimited will be hosting a Kids Fishing Event at Jake’s On the Lake from 8 until noon.

All these activities will produce more traffic than normal.  On Saturday Main Street in Centre will be closed to through traffic due to the fall festival with detours set up from 7am until 1pm.

Motorists will need to plan their routes and allow increased time to reach their destinations during this time.

The Fall Weather should be gorgeous through the weekend for all your outdoor activities.
