Thornberry had been accused by three minors of harassment and was originally convicted in March by Circuit Court Judge Jeremy Taylor. At that time, he was sentenced to three months in the county jail on each charge, with the sentences set to run concurrently.

Exercising his right to appeal, Thornberry’s case was brought before the Circuit Court of Cherokee County. The appeal was presided over by Circuit Judge Shaunathan Bell and heard by a Cherokee County jury.

After deliberation, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty on all charges.
