The Venue at Chesnut Bay: A New Destination for Celebrations in Cherokee County
The scenic grounds of Chesnut Bay Resort have been a favorite destination for families and visitors in Cherokee County. Known for its Pirate’s Bay water park, campgrounds, lakeside beach, and cozy cabin rentals, the resort has now added a new crown jewel: The Venue at Chesnut Bay.
Unveiled with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce on September 24, the Venue introduces a sophisticated new option for weddings, reunions, corporate gatherings, holiday parties, and more. Guests at the opening were treated to coffee, doughnuts, and a guided tour of the beautiful facility, which owner Rob Brown says will serve both resort visitors and the public.
The Venue features comfortable seating for 90 guests, with space to accommodate up to 120. Inside, a full kitchen makes catering seamless, while future plans include an outdoor kitchen and grill area on the balcony, complete with a gas fireplace—perfect for gatherings that flow from indoors to the scenic outdoors.
Flexibility is a hallmark of the space, with a variety of table layouts available to suit any occasion. Brown emphasizes that his team’s passion for hospitality will ensure every event feels special. “Our staff loves what they do,” he said. “They’re focused on making every guest feel at home and part of the family.”
A dedicated website for The Venue is in the works, but for now, those interested in pricing or availability can call 256-523-8143.
With its beautiful natural setting, versatile design, and attentive staff, The Venue at Chesnut Bay is positioned to become a premier destination for celebrations in northeast Alabama. Brown extends an open invitation: “Come see it for yourself—we’d love to host your next big event.”
