Guntersville Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges Following ICAC Investigation
GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. – A joint investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force led to the arrest of a Guntersville man on multiple child pornography charges.
Christopher Matthew Beard, 22, of Guntersville, was taken into custody on September 23 following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 1100 block of Baker’s Chapel Lane. Beard has been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography and is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

Evidence seized during the search will be used to prosecute Beard to the fullest extent of the law, authorities said.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office credited several agencies for their assistance in the investigation, including the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office, Guntersville Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Madison Police Department’s ESD K9 team. The case was led by Investigator Tehryn Franks.
Sheriff’s officials emphasized their commitment to pursuing cases involving the exploitation of children and encouraged the community to report suspicious online activity.

A joint investigation conducted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force culminated in the execution of a search warrant at a residence located in the 1100 block of Baker’s Chapel Ln. in Guntersville on September 23rd, 2025.As a direct result of the search warrant and this investigation, Christopher Matthew Beard, 22, of Guntersville was apprehended and charged with five (5) counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
