CENTRE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors improve to 28-7 on the volleyball season with wins over St. Clair County and Southside of Gadsden on Tuesday.
The Lady Warriors defeated St. Clair County 25-16, 25-19, then beat Southside in the nightcap 25-19, 25-16.
In the win over St. Clair County, Nevaeh Gaidurgis delivered nine kills, seven digs, and an ace. Mattie Green gained four kills and a dig. Ava Haygood collected four kills, three digs, and an ace. Jolie Alexander added four kills and three digs.
Raegan Garmany contributed two kills and a dig. Ellisan Givens posted nine digs and an ace. Jesslyn Hincy had three digs and an ace. Macy Lea finished with 23 assists and three digs.
Against Southside, Gaidurgis collected 11 kills, a dig, an ace, an assist, and a block. Alexander came away with three kills, two assists, and two blocks. Givens delivered 14 digs, two aces and an assist. Hincy had an ace and Taniya Fife finished with a kill.
Cherokee County is at Hokes Bluff on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
