In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Connie Nail, age 42 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 2nd degree escape and for failure to appear on a previous charge.

William Vessell, age 42 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on three previous charges.

Levi Wigley, age 27 of Fort Payne, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of resisting arrest, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, drug trafficking, and third degree escape.

Taz Cox, age 31 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of attempting to elude and 3rd degree domestic violence.

Denisha Sluss, age 44 of Collinsville, was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department on a charge of bondsman off bond and for failure to appear on two previous charges.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 93 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
