Deana Dotson, 70, a wonderful mother and grandmother, passed away on September 18, 2025 at Fairhaven in Irondale.

Deana grew up in Centre, Alabama with her parents and brother. She attended the University of Alabama where she earned a teaching degree. After college, Deana made her way to Gadsden and then Birmingham where she was a dedicated teacher for many years while also raising her three sons who were the light of her life.

Deana was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Brown Dotson, Sr. and Doris Dotson, and her brother, Warren Brown Dotson, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Adam Cohn (Jennifer), Bryant Cohn (Mandy), and Alex Cohn (Katherine); grandsons, Hudson and Isaac Cohn; granddaughter, Abby Cohn.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Perry Funeral Home, the family will receive friends from 2:00PM till the time of service
