CENTRE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors swept a home volleyball tri-match from Sand Rock and Anniston on Tuesday. The Lady Warriors defeated Sand Rock 25-19, 25-19, then beat area opponent Anniston 25-11, 25-10, 25-10.
In the win over Sand Rock, Macy Lea collected 21 assists, five kills, a dig, and a block. Raegan Garmany contributed three kills. Ava Haygood earned eight kills, three digs, and an ace. Mattie Green delivered four digs and a pair of kills.
Jolie Alexander added seven kills and an assist. Ellisan Givens accumulated 12 digs, seven aces, and an assist. Jesslyn Hincy had a dig. Taniya Fife finished with two kills, a block, and an assist.
In the win over Anniston, Lea came away with 17 assists, four kills, and three aces. Garmany had two kills and an ace. Green gained three kills, two digs, two aces, and an assist. Haygood collected five kills, four digs, and seven aces.
Alexander earned seven kills and three aces. Givens delivered three digs, two kills, and eight aces. Sydni Frost managed three assists and a kill. Hincy contributed five aces, three kills, and an assist. Fife finished with three kills and an assist.
Cherokee County travels to Jacksonville for a tri-match with St. Clair County on Thursday.
