Two-Vehicle Accident Reported Friday Morning in Centre

Centre – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Cedar Bluff Road and Northwood Drive in Centre shortly after 7:30 a.m. Friday.

The initial call reported possible entrapment, but officials on the scene confirmed the victim was able to free themselves without assistance. Multiple passengers were inside the vehicles at the time of the crash.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. Those involved were evaluated at the scene and did not require transport to the hospital.

Responding agencies included Centre Fire Department, Centre Police Department, the Cherokee County EMA, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, and Atrium Health Floyd EMS.

Traffic was reduced to one lane toward Cedar Bluff while the accident was cleared, causing short delays for morning commuters.
