Chetak LLC Group Expands Voluntary Product Recall
Includes Additional Frozen Vegetable and Fruit Products Due to Possible Health Risk
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Collectively, known as “Chetak,” is expanding its voluntary recall of several Deep-branded frozen vegetable and fruit products due to possible Salmonella contamination. The recall, first initiated July 16, 2025, now covers additional lots produced on the same equipment between December 18, 2024, and August 18, 2025.
The recalled products were distributed nationwide in retail stores and packaged in flexible plastic bags. Lot numbers and use-by dates can be found on the back panel.
Frozen products that tested positive for Salmonella include:

Deep-brand Sprouted Mat (Moth), Lot IN 24353K, 24354K, 25072K

Deep-brand Sprouted Moong (Mung), Lot IN 25058K

Deep-brand Premium Select Surti Undhiu Mix, Lot IN 25158K

Deep-brand Premium Select Singoda, Lot IN 25150K
Additional recalled lots of sprouted mung and moth beans include: 24330, 24297, 24291, and 24292. These products should no longer be available for sale, but consumers are advised to check their freezers and discard any affected items.
Chetak emphasized that no illnesses have been reported in connection with the products. Still, Salmonella infection can cause serious illness, particularly in children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, with rare cases leading to more severe conditions.
Production of the products has been suspended while the company investigates the source of contamination.
