Rainbow City Police Hosting First Annual Lights & Sirens Run

Rainbow City-The Rainbow City Police Department is inviting the community to take part in its first annual Lights & Sirens Run, benefiting Explorer Post 2729. The event will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., beginning and ending at Rainbow City Fire Station 2, located at 1400 Riddles Bend Road.

Participants can choose from several race options:

• 5K & 10K – $25

• 1-Mile Fun Run – $15

• Virtual 5K – $10

The run will take participants through the scenic Riddles Bend community, with peaceful views of farmland, waterways, and neighborhood homes. Both serious runners and families looking for a fun activity are welcome to join.

Event highlights include a professionally timed 5K and 10K, a family-friendly Fun Run, community vendors, booths from police and Explorer members, post-race refreshments, and an awards ceremony recognizing top finishers.

All proceeds go toward supporting the Rainbow City Police Explorers program, which helps prepare young men and women for future careers in law enforcement through mentorship, leadership training, and community service.
