Mrs. Gail Arnold Rodgers, 85, of Centre, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at her home. She was born May 6, 1940 in Cherokee County, Alabama to the late H.E. and Letha Mae McMillan Arnold. Mrs. Rodgers was a retired school teacher. She began her career in education in Birmingham, before moving to Mobile, then back home to Cherokee County, where she taught for many years at Cedar Bluff and then Centre Middle School. She was a member of Centre First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 8th at Centre First United Methodist Church with burial following in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her children Jimbo Rodgers and wife Donna, Steve Rodgers and wife Kathy, and Kim Perry and husband Ken; grandchildren Jenna and Adam Christian, Molly and John Barton, Mason Rodgers, Kendal Perry, Karlee Perry, and Cooper Rodgers; great-grandchildren Hazel and Hank Barton and Cooper Christian; sister-in-law Gail Arnold; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Rodgers in 2021, infant son Chad Rodgers, and siblings Ed Arnold, Jr., Mack Arnold, and Elizabeth Norton.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of services.
