SAND ROCK – Jackson Burgess completed 5-of-6 pass attempts for 65 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 76 yards and a touchdown to lead the North Sand Mountain Bison to a 41-0 football win at Sand Rock on Friday night.

The Bison (3-0, 1-0 Class 2A, Region 7) built a 28-0 lead at halftime and went on to post their second straight shutout of the season.

Alec Ashley led the Wildcats (0-3, 0-1) by completing 7-of-20 pass attempts for 81 yards. Lathan Amos had a pair of catches for 35 yards. Ryker Woodall caught three passes for 28 yards. Nick Clanton led the Wildcat defense with six tackles and two assists.

Sand Rock hosts Section next Friday. North Sand Mountain hosts Cedar Bluff.
