Two-Vehicle Accident Reported in Centre Thursday Afternoon
CENTRE – A two-vehicle accident was reported Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Northwood Drive and Cedar Bluff Road.
According to reports, the crash occurred at 1:55 p.m. Witnesses at the scene told authorities that one of the vehicles ran a red light, causing the collision.
Centre Police, the Centre Fire Department, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, and Atrium Floyd EMS all responded to the scene. Both drivers sustained injuries. They were treated at the scene before being transported to area hospitals for further care.
The accident remains under investigation.
