Gadsden State Launches New Spirit Program: The Cardinalettes Dance Team

Gadsden, Ala. – Gadsden State Community College is proud to announce the official launch of its newest spirit initiative — the Gadsden State Cardinalettes Dance Team. The formation of the team marks a significant step in enhancing school spirit, supporting Cardinal Athletics, and increasing student and community engagement.

“The creation of the Cardinalettes Dance Team is an exciting step forward for Gadsden State Athletics,” said Blake Lewis, Athletic Director. “We want to provide more opportunities for student involvement, boost school spirit, and continue building an atmosphere of pride and excellence around our athletic programs.”

The Cardinalettes will represent GSCC at athletic events and community functions, serving as ambassadors of the college’s energy and enthusiasm.

Audition Information:

Students interested in becoming part of the inaugural Cardinalettes Dance Team are encouraged to apply and audition.

Application Packet Pickup:

  • Dates: September 1–16
  • Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily
  • Location: GSCC Athletic Department, Beck Gym
    Students must provide their name and cell number when picking up a packet.

Audition Clinic:

  • Date: Saturday, September 20
  • Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (callbacks to follow)
  • Location: Glory & Grace Dance, 190 Independent Drive, Rainbow City, AL 35906
    Clinic attire and audition protocol will be outlined in the application packet.
