Albertville Police Arrest Man in Theft Investigation; Stolen Property Recovered
Albertville, Ala. – An Albertville man has been arrested after police recovered thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen property connected to a theft reported earlier this summer.
According to the Albertville Police Department, detectives obtained new information in late August regarding a June theft case. On August 28, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Jo Ann Street, where they recovered multiple stolen items.
The property included an enclosed utility trailer and equipment taken from Americold Logistics, valued at more than $4,000, as well as a utility trailer, tools, construction equipment, fencing, concrete, and ladders belonging to the City of Albertville, valued at more than $5,000.
As a result of the investigation, Sunny Richard Brown, 36, of Albertville was arrested and charged with two counts of Receiving Stolen Property in the First Degree. He was booked into the Albertville City Jail before being transferred to the Marshall County Jail on a $60,000 bond.
Police credited assistance from the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office in the case.
