Four area football teams continue to be ranked the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association high school rankings. The latest poll was released early Wednesday morning.

Class 4A Cherokee County (1-1), Class 3A Piedmont (2-0), and Class 3A Collinsville (1-0) all maintained their rankings from last week.

The Warriors hold steady at No. 4 and will host Region 6 rival Oneonta (1-0) for homecoming in the Foothills Tractor Game of the Week on Friday. Piedmont is still No. 2 and travels to Region 6 rival Ohatchee (0-2) on Friday. Collinsville rounds out the top 10 in 3A and travels to No. 6 Fyffe (1-1) on Friday.

Spring Garden (1-1) dropped four places to No. 10 in the 1A poll. The Panthers host Ragland (1-0) on Friday to open Region 8 action.
