Gadsden Beautification Board to Host 9/11 Memorial Observance

GADSDEN, Ala. — The Gadsden Beautification Board will host a 9/11 Memorial Observance on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of 4th and Broad Street in Historic Downtown Gadsden.

The community is invited to attend this solemn and heartfelt event, which will honor the memory of those affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001, as well as recognize the courage and sacrifice of first responders.

The observance will feature bagpipe music, a performance by the Gadsden State Choir, and a flag ceremony presented by the ROTC and Honor Guard. Members of the Gadsden Fire Department, law enforcement agencies, and representatives from the Mayor’s Office will be present. The program will also include guest speakers, music, and prayer.

Organizers encourage residents to come together in unity to pay tribute to the lives lost, those who served, and all who were impacted.

For more information, community members are asked to mark their calendars and plan to attend this special memorial gathering.
