Lithia Springs Man Arrested in Rome After Threats, Damage to Patrol Car
ROME, GA – A 21-year-old Lithia Springs man was arrested in Rome after authorities said he damaged a patrol car and threatened to kill an officer and torture their family.
According to reports, Richie Jerremiah Blanc refused to comply with officers, allegedly balling his fist and attempting to strike one. He also pulled away to avoid being handcuffed. After being taken to the ground, Blanc continued to resist commands to calm down.
Once placed in the back of a patrol car, Blanc allegedly kicked out the rear passenger door and bent the frame.
Blanc has been charged with felony obstruction of an officer, interference with government property, terroristic threats/acts, and willful obstruction.
