Centre’s Jett Helms Wins 2025 FPB World Series Home Run Derby
NEWBERRY, Fla. — Seven-year-old Jett Helms of Centre made his mark at the 2025 FPB World Series by capturing the Home Run Derby title.
Helms opened his day with an impressive performance in the preliminaries, tallying nine home runs to secure the No. 1 spot on the leaderboard heading into the finals.
The top four competitors from each age division advanced to the evening showdown, where a large crowd of parents and fans gathered at 5 p.m. to cheer them on. In head-to-head competition, Helms rose to the occasion and came out on top, earning the championship.
For his efforts, Helms will be awarded a custom engraved bat, a lasting memento of his achievement.
Bracket play and the championship games of the FPB World Series are set to conclude on September 1, wrapping up the weeklong event in Newberry, Florida.
