Two Arrested in Marshall County on Child Pornography Charges
Horton, Ala. — Two people have been arrested in Marshall County following an investigation into the possession of child pornography.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, investigators received a tip on August 20, 2025, from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. Based on the information provided, investigators identified a suspect and obtained a search warrant for a residence on Thacker Road in the Horton community the next day.
During the search, numerous electronic devices were seized. A review of the devices revealed multiple images of child pornography, leading to arrest warrants for two individuals.
On August 22, deputies attempted to serve one of the warrants, but learned that William Cory Baldwin had fled the residence and was attempting to evade law enforcement. The second suspect, Cassie Matia Bobo, 40, of Horton, was taken into custody without incident on August 25. She is charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
After several days of searching, deputies located Baldwin hiding in a wooded area near his home. He was arrested and is also charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. Baldwin is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
Sheriff Phil Sims praised the work of investigators, saying, “Our investigators and deputies did an outstanding job working on this case. You can run but you can’t hide. Deputies were able to find Baldwin hiding in the woods not far from his residence. We are committed to finding and tracking down those who would violate the innocence of children.”
The Sheriff’s Office thanked the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office, U.S. Marshals Service, Marshall County Drug Task Force, Albertville Police Department, and Guntersville Police Department for their assistance with the case and Baldwin’s capture.
