Four Teenagers Charged in Albertville Vandalism and Theft Spree
Albertville, Ala. – Four teenagers have been charged in connection with a series of vandalism and theft incidents that occurred on the south side of Albertville during the night of July 17–18, 2025. The incidents involved damage to street signs, mailboxes, and political campaign signs.
After a detailed investigation, the Albertville Police Department identified the four teens, who later admitted to committing the offenses. Two 18-year-olds were arrested on warrants for Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and Theft of Property 4th Degree. They were released on $1,000 property bonds and granted youthful offender status by the Court.
The two remaining suspects are juveniles, and their cases have been referred to the Juvenile Court System. Several victims chose not to press charges after the suspects and their families agreed to reimburse damages.
Police confirmed that the vandalism to political signs was not politically motivated and appeared to stem from poor decision-making by the group.
“The Albertville Police Department remains committed to protecting the property and safety of all residents,” said a department spokesperson. “We appreciate the cooperation of the community throughout this investigation.”
Authorities continue to encourage residents to report suspicious activity and safeguard personal property.
