Two Injured in One-Car Accident on West Meighan Boulevard in Gadsden

The Gadsden Fire Department responded early Saturday morning to a serious one-car accident on West Meighan Boulevard.

Emergency units on scene included Quint 4, Rescue 1, Battalion 2, and Battalion 3, along with the Gadsden Police Department, Advantage EMS, and A-Med Ambulance Service. Firefighters utilized hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the victims from the wrecked vehicle.

According to officials, one victim was transported to a local hospital, while another was transferred to a Birmingham hospital for further treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
