Man Seriously Injured After Falling From Roof in Etowah County

On Thursday at 11:02 a.m., Etowah County 9-1-1 received an emergency call reporting a man who had fallen from a roof and sustained injuries. Rescue units R-1, M-1, and officers from the Southside Police Department responded promptly, arriving on the scene just four minutes later at 11:06 a.m.

The male patient was treated at the scene before being transported by A-Med Ambulance Service to the City Hall landing zone. Due to the severity of his injuries, the patient was then airlifted to UAB Hospital by Survival Flight 16 for specialized medical care.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation, and no further details about the incident or the patient’s condition have been released at this time.
