SYLVANIA – A Rainsville man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash east of Sylvania, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

The crash occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. on August 5 along DeKalb County Road 116 near DeKalb County Road 688, about four miles east of Sylvania.

Jones was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Tilley sustained injuries in the collision and was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for treatment.
