The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and the Staff and Management of Cherokee County Health and Rehab got together Monday afternoon for the official Ribbon Cutting of a New Memory Care Unit. The New 16 Bed Unit will provide assistance to families who are on the waiting list for the Memory Care Unit. Jennifer Cambron, Manager of Cherokee Health and Rehab told those in attendance this would give them a total of 52 beds in the Memory Care Unit.
Jerry Culberson, President and CEO of PHS, Management Company of CCHR, said another expansion is coming in a few weeks. The facility is adding an outpatient rehab unit to provide services for those clients who can go home with the ability to get their rehab services on an outpatient basis.
Culberson said Cherokee Health and Rehab is ready to serve the needs of Cherokee County and surrounding areas with a 185- bed skilled nursing facility, including a 17 private bed, short-term rehabilitation unit, and a 52-bed Memory Care Unit. Together with Cherokee Village Independent Living Apartments and Specialty Care Assisted Living Center provides a continuum of services for their clients.
