7 Brew Percolates Plans for New Gadsden Location
Gadsden, AL – Coffee lovers in Gadsden will soon have a new destination for their daily brew, as 7 Brew prepares to open a new drive-thru location in the city. The popular coffee chain, known for its fast service and wide selection of drinks, is expanding into Gadsden as part of a larger growth initiative across 16 states this summer.
Mayor Craig Ford welcomed the news, calling it a positive development for both local residents and travelers.
“This is a great fit for Gadsden. We’ve got several highly traveled highways and interstates coming through town, so it makes sense to have a drive-thru coffee shop for everyone to enjoy,” said Ford.
The new 7 Brew location will be situated on East Meighan Boulevard at the site of the former Shoney’s restaurant. Renovations are expected to begin later this year, with the company investing approximately $3 million to transform the property.
In addition to bringing a new coffee option to the area, the project is expected to create 10 to 20 jobs, including part-time positions. Mayor Ford emphasized that the arrival of 7 Brew is part of a broader effort to attract dynamic businesses that contribute to the local economy.
“Bringing in 7 Brew is about more than just coffee—it’s about bringing a fast-growing company to Gadsden and steadily improving our local quality of life,” Ford said.
No official opening date has been announced, but city officials say the project is moving forward with enthusiasm and community support.
