CAPTURED: Person on Sheriff’s Most Wanted List Now in Custody in North Carolina

On July 17, Michael Bentley was added to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s “Most Wanted” List. Bentley was released from the Cherokee County Jail in order to attend a court ordered mandated rehabilitation program.

When Bentley did not show up for the rehab appointment, warrants were obtained for his arrest.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office notified WEIS Radio that Bentley is now in custody in North Carolina. No information is available about his arrest in that jurisdiction. He will now be extradited to Cherokee County, Alabama to face charges and possibly more to be added.
