Fire Chief Todd Kirkland gave the City Council the Department’s activity report for June during the City Council Meeting Tuesday evening. The department responded to 82 calls with 4 fire calls, 1 over pressure or overheat call, 2 hazardous but no fire, 14 calls for service, 2 false alarms, 2 good intent calls, 3 severe weather responses, and 54 Medical Assists with the Rescue and Emergency services. 128 fire hydrants were tested to be sure they are working properly.
