Rome Woman Arrested After Alleged Racial Outburst and Assault on Officer

ROME, GA – A 60-year-old Rome woman is facing multiple charges after police say she assaulted a Comcast worker with a water hose while shouting racial slurs, then turned her aggression toward responding officers and medical personnel.

According to reports, Robin Evette Easterling was arrested this week following an incident at her residence during which she allegedly sprayed a Comcast employee with a water hose and hurled racial slurs at him. When law enforcement arrived on the scene, Easterling reportedly continued her use of racial slurs—this time directed at the responding officer.

Authorities say Easterling then went inside her home and attempted to evade arrest by closing the door. When officers attempted to take her into custody, she allegedly resisted and fought back, causing multiple visible scratches to one of the officers.

Following her arrest, Easterling was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Police noted that she continued to use offensive language and racial slurs directed at both the officer and hospital staff while in their care.

Easterling is now facing several charges, including two counts of disorderly conduct, felony obstruction, and simple battery against a police officer.
