Attalla Man Killed in Jackson County Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer
SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — A tragic crash in Jackson County claimed the life of an Attalla man on Thursday morning.
According to Alabama State Troopers, the single-vehicle accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on July 10. Tyler B. Sims, 32, was driving a 2000 International tractor-trailer when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned. Sims was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened on Alabama Highway 35 near Jackson County Road 67, roughly one mile south of Scottsboro.
Authorities with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No further information has been released at this time.
