Centre’s Growth Continues

Building Inspector for the City of Centre, Raymond Matthews, informed the Mayor and City Council Tuesday evening about the continued growth of the City.

During the 2nd quarter ending in June, the City issued 11 commercial building permits totaling $469,508 and 16 residential building permits for a total of $868,701 with the City retaining a total of $3553.50 in permit fees.

Matthews also told the Council the new City Hall construction is on track with the electrical service connection is soon to be installed.

The New Centre City Hall and the New Cherokee County Courthouse will be facing across Main Street.
