Single-Vehicle Crash in Ellisville Leaves One Injured

ELLISVILLE – A single-vehicle accident early Monday morning sent one person to the hospital after their vehicle left the roadway and landed in a creek.

The crash occurred in the 4000 block of County Road 59, just off County Road 14. Authorities say the incident happened in the early morning hours, and a passerby who spotted the vehicle in the creek called 911 to report the accident.

Emergency responders from the Ellisville Fire Department, Atrium Floyd EMS, and Alabama State Troopers arrived at the scene. The driver was able to escape the vehicle but sustained injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is currently investigating the cause of the accident. No further details have been released at this time.
