Etowah County Sheriff’s Office celebrates international achievement

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that Captain Will Farley has earned the Gold Medal in Archery at the 2025 World Police and Fire Games, an international competition honoring the skills and athleticism of law enforcement and fire service personnel from around the globe.

Captain Farley represented both the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office and the state of Alabama with distinction, demonstrating exceptional precision, focus, and composure throughout the competition. A dedicated bow hunter and experienced marksman, his performance reflects years of disciplined training and competitive experience.

Sheriff Jonathon Horton commended Captain Farley’s achievement, stating,
