Get ready to celebrate America’s birthday in grand style! From lakeside fireworks to patriotic parades, concerts, and festivals, the Independence Day spirit is alive and well across Cherokee County and the surrounding areas. Here’s a roundup of the top events to help you plan your 4th of July weekend!


CHEROKEE COUNTY EVENTS

June 28 – Cedar Bluff
The Town of Cedar Bluff will host its annual fireworks show on the shores of Weiss Lake beginning at 9:00 PM. Enjoy a beautiful evening under the stars by the water!

June 28 – Gadsden Symphony Patriotic Pops
Join the Gadsden Symphony Orchestra at 7:00 PM at Gadsden City High School Auditorium for an evening of patriotic music, featuring selections by Sousa, Gershwin, Copland, and more. Free and family-friendly.

July 3 – 411 Drive-In Theatre, Centre
Gates open at 6:00 PM with live music until 8:00 PM. The movie starts afterward, followed by fireworks. A fun, family-friendly celebration under the stars!

July 3–6 – Indian Mountain ATV Park, Spring Garden
Freedom Fest runs all weekend long, with activities and entertainment daily. Don’t miss their fireworks show Friday, July 4 at 9:00 PM.

July 4 – Bay Springs Marina & Lodge
Fireworks at 8:45 PM. Come early, grab a good spot, and enjoy an unforgettable night by the lake!

July 4 – Beans & Greens, Ballplay Community
Activities begin at 6:30 PM, with fireworks at dark at 338 Indian Hill Rd, Gadsden. Bring lawn chairs and the whole family!

July 4 – Little River Marina
Live music, BBQ, hamburgers, and hot dogs from 5:00–8:00 PM. Fireworks begin at 8:45 PM and are visible from the marina parking lot or by boat.

July 5 – Tooga Yaks Event, Cedar Bluff
A free community celebration with inflatables, vendors, live music from Cody Daniel (7:00 PM), and fireworks at 9:00 PM. Vendors open at 3:00 PM.


ETOWAH COUNTY EVENTS

July 4 – Gadsden Independence Day Celebration

  • 5:00 PM–11:00 PM: Street closure along Highway 411 near Moragne Park for foot traffic, live music at Riverside Park, food vendors, and kids’ activities.

  • 7:00 PM: Fireworks launched from Memorial Bridge; best viewing from Broad Street, 411, and Moragne Park.

  • 5:00–8:00 PM: First Friday on Broad Street – classic cars, music, shopping, and dining.

  • 7:00 PM: Etowah Chamber hosts a Food Truck Extravaganza – great fireworks viewing location.

  • July 5: Back Forty Beer Company – Late fireworks show, craft brews, and food (7:00–11:00 PM).


MARSHALL COUNTY EVENTS

June 28 – Ditto Landing Independence Day Celebration
Gates open at 5:00 PM with live music and food trucks. Fireworks at 9:00 PM. Free to attend.

July 4 – Lake Guntersville State Park Popsicle Social
6:00 PM at the Outdoor Classroom. Free event with popsicles to celebrate the holiday.

July 4 – Concert in the Park & Fireworks, Civitan Park
Live music from The Stranded Band (6:30–8:30 PM) followed by fireworks at 9:00 PM. Bring lawn chairs and enjoy food trucks.

July 4 – Fireworks Over Lake Guntersville
Fireworks begin at 9:00 PM at Civitan Park. Music simulcast on WTWX 95.9 FM. Come early for parking and the best view!


JACKSON COUNTY EVENTS

July 5 – Scottsboro Independence Day Celebration
Downtown Scottsboro, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM. Includes a vendor market, patriotic parade, live entertainment, and family fun.


DEKALB COUNTY EVENTS

July 4 – Henagar Sand Mountain Potato Festival
A full day of family fun with a patriotic parade, live music, food vendors, cornhole, and a fireworks show at dark.

July 3 – Fort Payne Fireworks Show
Begins at 8:45 PM, visible from the Sports Complex and city schools.

July 4–5 – DeSoto State Park Independence Day Events
Free and open to all ages. Outdoor fun in one of Alabama’s most beautiful parks.

July 6 – Fyffe Church of God Freedom Day
Celebration at Fyffe Park beginning at 5:00 PM.


CALHOUN COUNTY EVENTS

July 1 – American Soundscape at JSU McClellan Theatre
A patriotic concert by Cheaha Winds at 7:00 PM. Donation-based admission.

July 2 – Cornerstone Summer Night, Anniston
Inflatables, games, food, and fun starting at 6:00 PM.

July 3 – Red, White, & Blue Bike Night, Oxford
Hosted by Hooligan Harley-Davidson with live music and fireworks (6:00–10:00 PM).

July 4 – Oxford Freedom Festival & Parade

  • 8:30 AM: Parade registration at Oxford Lake Park

  • 9:00 AM: Freedom Festival Parade

  • 9:00 PM: Fireworks over Oxford Lake
    Clear bag policy in effect; bring lawn chairs and blankets.

July 4 – Pell City Fireworks Extravaganza
Logan Martin Lake lights up with a massive fireworks display at 9:00 PM. View from Lakeside Park or by boat.

July 5 – Anniston Museums and Gardens
Educational Fourth of July program with a patriotic craft activity. Included with admission.

June 28 – Oxford Freedom Fest Car Show
9:00 AM–1:00 PM at Oxford Civic Center. Classic cars, food vendors, and prizes.


ROME AREA EVENTS (GA)

July 4 – Rome Fireworks Extravaganza at Ridge Ferry Park
Park opens at 4:00 PM. Inflatables, food trucks, and live music. Fireworks begin at 9:30 PM. $5 parking; no coolers, pets, or fireworks allowed.

June 28 – Liberty Day, Cave Spring
Festivities include a farmers’ market, karaoke, vendors, live music, and fireworks at dark.

June 28 – Lindale Independence Day Festival
9:00 AM–1:00 PM at Wolfe Park. Parade, car show, vendors, and live music.

July 4 – Cave Spring Parade
Traditional July 4th parade begins at 9:00 AM in downtown Cave Spring.


CHATTOOGA COUNTY (Summerville, GA)

July 3 – Celebrate Independence Festival & Fireworks Show
Held at Chattooga County Agricultural Center.

  • 6:00 PM: Vendors, kids’ zone, watermelon slices

  • 7:15 PM: Patriotic Foot Parade

  • 7:30 PM: The Whole Fam Damily performs live

  • 10:00 PM: Fireworks Show
