City of Rome Administrative Offices to Close for Independence Day
In observance of the Independence Day Holiday, City of Rome administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. Provided are service changes and closures:
Rome Solid Waste Schedule
- Monday and Tuesday – regular collection
- Thursday and Friday garbage and recycle routes will be collected on Thursday, July 3; no yard cart collections on Thursday.
- Residents are reminded to place carts curbside by 7:00 a.m. on their adjusted collection day to ensure timely pickup.
Walker Mountain Landfill
- The landfill will be closed on Friday, July 4 and will reopen with regular hours on Saturday, July 5.
Rome Transit Department (RTD)
- RTD will also be closed on Friday, July 4.
Building Inspection July 4th Schedule
- The Building Inspection Department will be closed Friday, July 4th. Any inspections submitted after 4 pm on July 3 will be placed on the Tuesday, July 8 inspection list.
