During the Centre City Council meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Council briefly discussed a housing development slated for an area on Northwood Drive with up to 150 single family dwellings to be built. The Council has asked Attorney Pat Tate to draw up some restrictions and covenants for the project to be discussed fully at the next City Council meeting on July 8th.
Forrest Frost with the Frost Group delivered the 2023-24 Final Audit for the City. The Council approved the fee of $22,900 for the Audit.
A cross drain on county road 380 was approved for replacement in the amount of $11841.90. Several police vehicles were approved for surplus. Chief Kirk Blankenship told the Council, these were the ones costing the most in repairs to keep on the road. Motion Sensor Cameras were approved for the Pavilion at the Park at a cost of $1764.44 with a monitoring fee of $20 per month. A Restaurant, Class 1 Retail Liquor license was approved for the new owners of the F.C. Weiss Pub and Eatery on Main Street.
