Lowell Johnson, age 59, of Centre, Alabama passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Lowell was born in Gadsden, Alabama on July 10, 1965. He is preceded in death by his father Doug Johnson and brother Lyon Johnson. Lowell graduated from Cherokee County High School where he was a member of the 1980 and 1981 Baseball State Championship team. Lowell worked at Leesburg Yarn Mill/Parkdale for 32 years where he served as Plant Supervisor. Lowell enjoyed all sports but was an avid golfer, pursued hunting and definitely loved Alabama football. Lowell was an exceptional father, son, brother and friend; he will be missed by all of his family and friends. Survivors include his daughter Demie Jo Johnson; mother Reba Nell Chambers; sister Leigh Ann Johnson (Randy Smith); step-brother David Chambers (Dee Chambers); nephews Bradley Smith, Rand Smith, Jay Chambers; niece Lila Smith.
