Paulding County, GA – On Monday June 9, 2025 at approximately 2:25 PM, Paulding County E-911 received a call reporting a possible shooting near the intersection of Ridge Road and Cohran Store Road. The victim, who called 911 himself, stated he had been involved in an altercation with a black male driving a black SUV. During the encounter, the victim reported that he was shot.

Following the incident, the victim drove to Paulding County Fire Station 5, located at 4215 Ridge Road, Douglasville, GA 30134, in an attempt to receive emergency medical assistance. He was subsequently transported to WellStar Paulding Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating this incident and are working to locate the suspect and the vehicle involved—a black male driving a black SUV.
