Severe Storms Possible on Monday 

From The National Weather Service in Birmingham:

There is a level 2 out of 5 risk for severe storms for all of
central Alabama Monday morning through the evening. Threats include
damaging straight-line winds and quarter-size hail. There is a very
low chance of a brief tornado.


Today
Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 10pm. Patchy fog between 10pm and 11pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
